Thoughts of voter doubt

Wool, enamel, acrylic, fabricated spheres // 2020

This sculptural composition recognizes the hesitation within the voter population. Doubts, excuses, and deep reasonings on how the voice of the voter isn’t heard.

News to diffuse you

Mirror paper, found imagery // 2020

This composition challenges the viewer to see themselves metaphorically represented in the midst of politicians, rhetoric, and memorable moments in political history.

Free to work, not to vote

Wool, cotton, paper, acrylic, cinderblock // 2020

Free to work, not to vote, looks at regulations in various states where those who are convicted felons lose their right to vote, but while incarcerated can be used for labor for private companies.

Unity everywhere else but politics

wool, felt, paper, mixed media // 2020

Unity everywhere else but politics examines the divisive nature of American politics. The imagery of African American silhouettes representing each party invokes the notion that America’s two party system isn’t built to represent everyone.
